This past April, some major changes to MLA citation style were revealed in the eighth edition of the handbook. Writers and researchers, plus secondary and college students, should be aware of these changes, and prepared to implement them in their papers. Documentation is somewhat simplified now, with certain, unnecessary information (such as publisher location) omitted. You can get an overview at Purdue OWL, along with some examples, but I suggest buying a copy of the updated MLA handbook for a full understanding, and for proper utilization in your writing. Is it weird I’m excited about this? What a nerd!
